As you leave Arusha, you'll embark on a picturesque drive through the stunning landscapes of Maasai country. Keep your camera ready as you might spot Maasai herders and their distinctive attire along the way.
Arrival at Tarangire National Park
After approximately 2-3 hours of driving, you'll arrive at the entrance of Tarangire National Park. Here, you'll pay the entrance fees and proceed into the park.

Flora and Fauna in Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its unique ecosystem, characterized by the Tarangire River that meanders through the park. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, often numbering in the hundreds, which congregate along the river during the dry season (June to October).
Other notable wildlife species that you can encounter include lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and various antelope species.
The park is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 550 bird species, including the colorful Lilac-breasted Roller and the sociable weaver.

Evening Return to Lodge or Camp
As the sun begins to set, your driver will guide you back to your chosen lodge or camp within or near Tarangire National Park. Here, you can relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and recount the day's incredible experiences.
