Climbing to Lava Tower (4,600 meters / 15,092 feet): The trail from Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower involves a significant altitude gain. It's a steep ascent through a rocky and barren landscape. This part of the hike can take around 4-5 hours. As you ascend, you may notice a decrease in vegetation due to the harsh conditions at this altitude. Lava Tower itself is a massive volcanic formation, and there is no camp here. It's primarily a stopping point for lunch and acclimatization.
