Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is situated on the eastern rim of the famous Ngorongoro crater. The lodge boasts more than 100 rooms all equipped with two queen-sized beds, carpets, fully tiled bathroom with bidets and hair dryers, and private lounge with mini bar. A beautiful swimming pool overlooks the crater. You will depart in the morning for Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, game drive enroute towards Ngorongoro Crater with packed lunch. On arrival, descend down to the crater one of the largest intact volcanic Caldera in the world, its a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. The crater floor offers game viewing to homely permanent population of more than 30 000 animals, and is one of the only places in Africa where you stand a very good chance of seeing the big five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) in the course of a morning or evening game drive. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only.
